Walkthrough of the machine called “Forward” in the OffSec Proving Grounds…This is a Linux machine rated as intermediate and it took me hours, don’t watch this unless you want help getting through the machine. In this video we exploit TeamViewer .reg files to extract credentials and connect to a hidden SMB share, we then exploit a .forward file to execute a reverse shell via SMTPD. Once on the box we find hidden credentials and then we use X11 forwarding to take advantage of the SUID set on dosbox.
